This concert will feature the premiere of a new composition Four Dances and a Prelude, Music for Flute Quartet and Guitar written by local composer Robert J. Maderich II. This delightful multi-movement work is dedicated to FluteSpiration Quartet and Guitarist Kevin Carlson. The flashy Prelude is followed by lovely fun dances: Samba, Hymn, Tango, A Green Bonanza .

Another special and exciting piece is Raga Saat , written by Canadian composer, teacher and flutist Derek Charke, who won the 2012 Juno award for classical composition of the year. Taking its name and its inspiration from Indian classical music, Mr. Charke describes the piece as "repetitive and meditative". FluteSpiration's performance of the work has been praised for keeping "the audience totally spellbound".

Other selections:

Invocation and Reflections by Trudi Anderson and Giovanni Palestrina

Grand Quatuor Concertante by Johan Wilhelm Gabrielsky

Ski Symphony by Faustin JeanJean

The Concert is free and open to the pubic.
