UMFA sponsors several major events for its members each year. Our annual Flute Fest is in the fall. We have featured artists such as Marco Granados, Brad Garner, Joshua Smith, Marina Piccinini, Emmanuel Pahud, William Bennett, Leone Buyse, and Goran Marcusson. These artists present a master class and a recital.
 
Flute Fest also includes exhibits, a recital by the Laudie Porter competition winners, a flute choir reading session, and an Honors Flute Choir performance.
 
Past events have included Attend a Flute Recital Month, featuring eight performances of flutists with a variety of ensembles and settings, and the Fall Event, which featured a guest artist in a master class and recital and a pedagogy panel covering a variety of issues with prominent regional teachers.
