The Upper Midwest Flute Association is again presenting
Flute-A-Thon to raise money for its educational programs. Your participation will help make UMFA eligible for a $2000 matching grant - funding our many flute-related activities.
The event will run from 7 pm on Friday, October 5, until 9 pm on Saturday, October 6, at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 4801 France Avenue, our host for a second year.
Participate at a variety of levels:
Solo performance
Small ensembles
Flute choirs
Chamber music jams- join with other UMFA members at prearranged times for spontaneous ensemble fun!
Flutefisk! - A Scandinavian Spectacular, various times, Saturday afternoon, October 6th
(Lutefisk dinner served in church basement: info at www.NorwegianGleeClub.org)
Pledge: Each person/group who signs up is requested to collect at least $50 per half-hour (e.g. if a duo performs, each player would collect $25). Chamber music jam participants are asked to pay $10 each. Pledges will be collected at the registration desk before the scheduled performance.
