2018 UMFA Honors Flute Choir
The Upper Midwest Flute Association is offering 7th through 12th grade flute students the opportunity to perform in the 2018 Honors Flute Choir at the Flute Choir Showcase on Saturday, February 10th at Good Samaritan United Methodist Church in Edina. The Concert will be part of a day devoted to all members of the flute family played by ensembles of all ages and sizes.
Debora J. Harris, Associate Professor of Flute at Concordia College in Moorhead will be the Conductor of the 2018 Honors Flute Choir. Music will be divided up among all members, so that everyone has an opportunity to play different parts. Concert music may include piccolo, alto flute, and bass flute parts which members will have an opportunity to play.
Teachers are asked to nominate students who are both interested and qualified to join this ensemble. There is no audition required, but participants should be at an advanced playing level and are expected to perform with one Rehearsal to be held earlier on the day of the Flute Choir Showcase.
Questions may be directed to the 2018 Honors Flute Choir Coordinator, Deb Metz email@example.com.
Nominations must be received by January 5th, 2018.
