  • Virginia Street Church, 170 Virginia Street, St. Paul, MN 55102

FluteSpiration Quartet is a vibrant professional flute ensemble using all members of the flute family: piccolo, c flute, wooden flute, alto flute, and bass flute. Autism Society serves Minnesotans, throughout their lives, with a fundamental commitment to advocacy, education, support, collaboration, and community building. FluteSpiration Quartet has performed for Thursday Musical Artist Series and Community Concerts, Upper Midwest Flute Association Flute Fest, National Flute Association 2017 Convention, local area music series, several Presbyterian Homes sites, college faculty recitals, church worship services, schools and holiday music for downtown businesses. Members are Trudi Anderson, Mark Brudevold, Peggy Doerrie and Sandra Sheih.

Virginia Street Church is an intimate, historic location well suited for chamber music. The concert will feature Children of the Wind by Catherine McMichael with Irish dance themes and haunting rich melodies. Clair de Lune by Claude Debussy and Jour D’Ete a La Montagne by Eugene Bossa are exquisite French literature. The Comedian’s Gallop by Dmitri Kabalevsky and Scherzino by Joachim Anderson are fun, fast show pieces. Other selections will demonstrate FluteSpiration’s distinctive synergy of sound and rich diversity of literature styles. Reception follows concert with poetry and art display.
