Parlor Concerts provide a friendly and relaxed setting for performers and audience alike. Flutists find this to be the perfect venue to try out a new piece, have a dry run before a recital or competition, or simply enjoy the music and company of fellow flutists.

For: UMFA members of all ages and abilities are welcome to perform, and family and friends are invited to join the audience.
Cost: FREE - There is no charge to perform or attend a Parlor Concert. An active UMFA membership is required for at least one member of each performing group. This is a great setting for introducing new people to UMFA, so you are encouraged to collaborate with your favorite duet partner or chamber group, even if they are not current UMFA members.

Choir Reading Session: The recitals often concludes with a brief flute choir reading session and social time.
Livestream: A livestream may be available to performers who wish to have their performances broadcast on the UMFA facebook page.
UMFA encourages the performance of music representative of BIPOC, LGBTQ+, women, and other marginalized populations.
