Masterclass Audition

As a part of the UMFA 2026 Flute Fest, Guest Artist Catherine Ramirez will present a Masterclass. All flutists are welcome and encouraged to audition. Three performers will be chosen by a panel of judges, based upon a recorded audition. 

Audition Information/Requirements

• The application with recordings, biography and $25 Masterclass Audition Fee must be received by midnight on March 22nd, 2026.
• Your piece/recording should not exceed 8 minutes. Please make cuts as necessary to accommodate this time limitation. A pianist is not required for the recording but recordings with pianists are accepted.
• Audition with the same piece you will perform at the class. 
• You must be a current UMFA member. If you are not currently a member, please join UMFA first by becoming a member.
• Audition results will be emailed by March 28th.

A current UMFA membership and application fee of $25.00 is required in order to apply for the Masterclass.
