Request for Proposals

The Upper Midwest Flute Association is accepting member proposals to present in each year’s Flute Fest. Flute Fest is an opportunity for flutists of all ages and ability levels to learn more about playing the flute. We welcome performers and presenters of all backgrounds and will give preference to proposals that are interactive to online participants, and which welcome and highlight the contributions of BIPOC, LGBTQ+, women, and other marginalized populations in our flute community.

A current UMFA membership number is required in order to submit a proposal.

Examples of Proposals Accepted in recent years:

  1. Carol Gilkey - Alternative Practice Approach Carol Gilkey
  2. Deb Harris - Shop Local: Support Your Local Composer
  3. Michael Abresch - Beginning Jazz Improvisation
