About the Marathon Flute Concert

In spring 2015, the UMFA board created a new scholarship program to support local flute students in their musical studies.  We invited all flutists to help us kick off the fundraising effort by participating in an 8-hour long Marathon Flute Concert at the Mall of America. We successfully raised more than $2,500 to begin our scholarship program and began a new tradition.

Please consider participating in this year's event as a performer, volunteer, or donor to help remove barriers to high-quality music education for local students.  Donations to the scholarship program are accepted year-round.
