About the Marathon Flute Concert
In spring 2015, the UMFA board created a new scholarship program to support local flute students in their musical studies. We invited all flutists to help us kick off the fundraising effort by participating in an 8-hour long Marathon Flute Concert at the Mall of America (Sears Court). We successfully raised more than $2500 to begin our scholarship program and began a new tradition.
We are proud to announce our fourth marathon concert on Saturday, October 27, 2018 to continue funding UMFA's scholarship program. Please consider joining us as a performer, volunteer, or donor to help remove barriers to high-quality music education for local students. Donations to the scholarship program are accepted year-round.
Thank you so much to everyone who has helped support this program. Your time, energy, and generosity have provided life-changing opportunities for a growing number of young people in our area.

Halloween costumes/decor are welcome at the event!
