The concert will feature the husband and wife duo
Schaafritz
, a flute/violin duo featuring Kristen and Josh Holritz.
Both Kristen and Josh hold positions with the Chattanooga Symphony and Opera.
Schaafritz
has performed across the United States and toured Japan twice along with musicians from The Juilliard School. of special interest for those with Nordic roots, Josh also shares an ancestor with Edvard Grieg (1648). The duo will perform with pianist Kevin Hobbs, currently Professor of Piano at North Hennepin Community College, where he teaches class and applied piano. He also teaches Advanced Piano Literature at the University of Minnesota and has served on the faculty of Gustavus Adolphus College, where he taught studio applied piano.
