Patrick Tsuji Masterclass

As a part of the UMFA 2025 Flute Fest, Guest Artist, Patrick Tsuji, will present an Orchestral Excerpt Masterclass. All flutists are welcome and encouraged to audition. Three performers will be chosen by a panel of judges, based upon a recorded audition. 

Audition Information/Requirements:

• Application with recordings, biography and Audition/Membership Fee must be submitted by March 1, 2025
• Choose two orchestral excerpt of contrasting style. You may submit two separate recordings. An accompanist is NOT required for the recording.
• You may choose any standard Principal, Second and Duo Orchestral Excerpts. 
• Audition with the same piece you will perform at the class.
• You must be a current 2024-2025 UMFA member. If you are not currently a member, please join UMFA first by becoming a member.
• If selected to perform, you must register for Flute Fest.
• Masterclass audition fee is $25.
• The Masterclass will NOT require an accompanist. 

Audition results will be emailed by March 15th.
