Deadline: Patrick Tsuji Orchestral Excerpt Masterclass

Application Deadline : March 1, 2025

As a part of the UMFA 2025 Flute Fest, Guest Artist Patrick Tsuji will present an Orchestral Excerpt Masterclass. All flutists are welcome and encouraged to audition. Three performers will be chosen by a panel of judges, based upon a recorded audition. 

Audition Information/Requirements:

• You must be a current UMFA member to apply.
• The application with recordings, biography and $25 Masterclass Audition Fee must be received by midnight on March 1, 2025.
• Choose two orchestral excerpts of contrasting style. You may submit two separate recordings. An accompanist is not required for the recordings.
• You may choose any standard Principal, Second and Duo Orchestral Excerpts. 
• If selected to perform, you must register for Flute Fest.
• If selected to perform, you must perform the same piece(s) you auditioned with. An accompanist is not required for the Masterclass.
  

Audition results will be emailed by March 15th.
