UMFA's annual Flute Choir Showcase Day will include a workshop clinic for Adult Flute Choirs lead by Dr. Janet Heukeshoven and a concert featuring the 2013 Honors Flute Choirs, as well as area flute choirs. This event is free and open to the public.

Interested in starting a flute choir? Refining your conducting and rehearsing skills? Register for the UMFA Flute Choir Showcase on March 2nd and take home some new skills and ideas you can put to use right away. Topics will include building ensemble skills, balance, rhythmic vitality and accuracy, physical conducting skills beyond the meter and musical interpretation. Bring a baton and your flute(s) for this interactive workshop.
