In order to participate in the Rising Stars Masterclass, students must register for Rising Stars, register for Flute Fest and become a member of UMFA (if not already a member) by April 6, 2026. UMFA membership and Flute Fest registration rates for students are each $25. There is no additional fee to participate in the Rising Stars Masterclass.

Rising Stars is a live masterclass opportunity for students under 18 years of age who wish to receive coaching from a professional flutist.

Registration Information:

1)Students must be under 18 at the time of the event.

2) In order to participate in the Rising Stars Masterclass, students must register for Rising Stars, register for Flute Fest and become a member of UMFA (if not already a member) by April 1, 2026. UMFA membership and Flute Fest registration rates for students are each $25. There is no additional fee to participate in the Rising Stars Masterclass.

3) Bring any polished piece, etude, or excerpt (no accompaniment required) and receive live coaching! Space is first-come/first-served.

4) Suggested performance time is no more than 3 minutes (excerpts of longer works are permitted).

5) Rehearsal and performance times will be assigned by April 8.
