Chamber Music Concert: Trio Matisse at Good Shepherd

Trio Matisse (Linda Chatterton, flute; Joel Salvo, cello; Rachel Brandwein,
harp) performs a chamber music concert on October 25th at 8:00pm.
The concert will be at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd,
4801 France Ave S., Minneapolis, MN 55410

Tickets are at the
door and are $15 general, $10 students and seniors.
The program includes "Trio Sonate" by French Impressionist composer Claude
Debussy, George Bizet's "Bohemian Dance" from his famous opera "Carmen,"
and "Doppler Effect" by American composer Adrienne Albert. Harpist Rachel
Brandwein, also a composer, will perform her piece "Colours Within" for solo
harp. Works by Joseph Jongen, Katherine Hoover, Camille Saint-Saens, and
some traditional Appalachian folk tunes round out the program.
This Minneapolis concert is a "pre-tour" concert as the trio will be
Flutist Linda Chatterton is a Yamaha Performing Artist and a two-time
McKnight winner whose recent concerts include performances in London, Dublin
and Bangkok. Cellist Joel Salvo, a member of the contemporary music group
Ensemble 61, is a member of the string faculty at University of
Minnesota-Morris and Anoka Ramsey Community College. Harpist Rachel
Brandwein is professor of harp at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint
John's University.
